LIVING ONASTREAM:THERISE OFREALTIME VIDEO RESPONSE
As we all know live streaming has been happening for a while. I was first introduced to live streaming through the occupy movement in Turkey. Goverment has the control over media that’s why the protesters relied on Twitter and live streaming to communicate or to show the world what was really happening. Now live streaming entered my life through Periscope. Even though I don’t do live streaming I can see how my contacts are live streaming and it is really interesting to see how they are using the app just to have a public live vlog. I really agree with the writer on the fact that live streaming will be even more popular and also if not handled in the right way then it can just be full of dull moments being live streamed and important ones are lost in the huge pile of random streams. Concern of privacy is always an issue in internet and in sharing especially with the security cameras and now live streaming is acting like fuel to the fire. The field of sharing is growing faster than the privacy measures are taken. In a way we are rebuilding our perception of privacy.
